About Freeman Farm
Freeman Farm was operated for over a century by the Freeman family. The Freeman family purchased the farm around 1921 from the Timmer family. The main farmhouse and loft barn are included on the Clackamas County historical landmarks page.
The Conlee family purchased the farm in 2022 and are continuing its heritage as an equestrian property welcoming riders for clinics and competitions as well as boarding. Olympian Kevin Freeman grew up riding here; sadly he passed away recently - a great loss to the equestrian community and his many friends and family. Laurie Freeman Swanson operated a training program from the farm for many years and still lives in the area. She hosted schooling shows on the farm for many years; if you talk to Portland area riders, many of them had some of their first shows in their careers right here at Freeman Farm.
